Kobie Henson, an 18-year-old of Malvern, was arrested early Friday morning at the Theta Xi house for public intoxication after an earlier incident involving a Henderson student. Gas prices had been slowly declining after this summer's record highs. However, with Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, gas prices skyrocketed. Hurricane Ike's power struck locally early last Sunday, Sept. 14, after midnight. It damaged the air conditioning unit for West and East Halls enough that they stopped working. Annual enrollment continues to increase

The 11th day of classes has passed, and the official enrollment numbers are in. Henderson continues to see growth again this year. Due to damaged equipment, the School With a Heart temporarily had no Pulse. From July 15 to Sept. 9, KSWH was shut down in order repair equipment that was damaged when lightning struck the antenna. When the fire alarm sounded in Smith Hall on a recent Tuesday morning, residents were asked to abandon their preparations for early classes and exit the building.
