It was 9:15 Monday night, Sept. 22, when senior pre-pharmacy major Megan Pinkerton walked back to her car, which was parked in the Russell Fine Arts (RFA) parking lot. This weekend, the Henderson chapter of Young Democrats participated in a canvassing effort for Arkansas Families First, a Little Rock-based organization that opposes the ballot measure to ban adoption and fostering by unmarried cohabitating couples. The proposed ban, which will appear on November ballots as Initiated Act 1, would apply a blanket rule to adoptions in the state, barring unmarried cohabitating couples - heterosexual and homosexual alike - from adopting or fostering children in Arkansas.… Post the First Comment

The Writers' Guild is a newly formed organization made up of many different types of talent, from poets to non-fiction and fiction writers to playwrights. The first meeting was held Tuesday. The Writers' Guild is a place of creativity, a place where any form of written art is deemed acceptable, a group where both of these attributes are melded together to shape a new home for the writers at Henderson.… Post the First Comment

Lately Residence Life has noticed minor incidents of vandalism taking place in all the halls on campus. The vandal or vandals are still unknown, so residence life has offered a reward to whomever has any information on the person causing these damages. The first month of school has passed, and the greek open bids have come to a close for the fall semester. This fall will mark the second year for the deferred rush process at Henderson.
