The next area of competition is a t-shirt design, from which the overall winning logo is used to create the t-shirt for the following year. The overall winning team is drawn from the winning teams of each grade level. "Each year we have an overall winner, and their logo is then used on the t-shirt for the next fair," said Taylor. "The logo also helps in providing the theme for each fair."

After designing their t-shirt logo, teams present their prepared visual display, consisting of economic concepts they have gained from lessons in class. Each team member is asked a question by a panel of judges relating to their knowledge of their chosen display subject.

The final area of competition is an "Economics Fun Run," a relay race in which students race to a location in order to answer a question. After answering their question, another student races to the next area to answer another piece of trivia until all questions are answered.

Each event of the day is judged based on various criteria elements, such as correct answers and speed of answers for the trivia-based portions of competition.

The design portions of competition are based on criteria such as visual appeal, creativity, originality and overall effect.
After all events are completed and judged by criteria, an awards ceremony is held to honor the winning teams from the competition.

There are winning teams from each grade level, and prizes are awarded for each different area of competition.
"All students within a team receive the award that the team may win," said Celya Taylor.

This was the 16th year Henderson has been host to the Economics Fair, and it is certain to keep taking place on campus in the coming years.
