The School of Business also inducted a new member into its hall of fame.
"[The Hall of Fame] honors one of the alumni that has done really well, and in addition has helped the School of Business," Hoskins said.
The newest member of the School of Business Hall of Fame is Mike Myers. Myers, a 1977 alumnus, is currently the vice president and chief financial officer of information technology at Winrock, a $100 million international development company with over 600 employees and implementing projects in 65 countries. He has served as a mentor in the Mentorship Program, as a guest lecturer in the School of Business Guest Lecture Program and as the chair of the Business Advisory Council.
"His speech was so personal," said Hoskins. "He talked about the most important things… which came down to family."
The Hall of Fame was not the only organization that was inducting new members at the banquet. The International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma inducted new members as well.
Graduate students inducted into BGS were Ashley Beasley, Smita
Deshukh, Catherine Karnes, Lilly Liu, Ray Newell, Katrina Patterson, Neatrice Strickland and Tara Thornton.
Seniors inducted were Trevor Allen, Devona Anderson and Ashley Miller.
Juniors inducted were Kimberly Morman, Hope Warner, Lakristen Spiller and Lauren Wilcox.
During the banquet, the School of Business recognized the Honor Graduates.
Students graduating Cum Laude are Brenda Marsh, Erin Rogers, Jason Roark, Estela Sanchez and Sarah Vaught. Students graduating Magna Cum Laude are Louisa Clift, Kristen Dickson and Stephanie Conner.
Students graduating Summa Cum Laude are Matthew Kirkpatrick and Thomas Rizzo.
"Henderson has always had the best students," said Hoskins. "They're polite and courteous. When you go to other campuses, you feel this unwanted attitude… here, the attitude is a good attitude."
