Through daily practice and strong teammate friendships, the girls were ranked second place in the conference this year.
The team practices every afternoon, in addition to individual practice sessions for each player.
Unlike most team sports, the girls are not required to wear uniforms.
"As long as we are in school colors, our coach wants us to be comfortable," said Massey.
With only one senior player, the team anticipates to stay strong to next year.
However, with five juniors, the 2011 season could be a different
story.
Meredith's high school team had as many as 18 players one season, dwarfing the Henderson team.
According to Massey, this is because of the higher competiveness of college compared to the junior and high school teams.
During the season the team traveled as far as Montgomery, Ala. for a tournament.
These trips allowed the team to bond and grow as a group.
"The whole team got along so well because we are such good friends," said Massey.
Although only one girl will be graduating, Massey claimed her as the best girl on the team.
"Next year we'll have five seniors, and should be really great too," said Massey.
"We will all bring the same level or better to the courts."
