Pump it up - McGinty Mechanical Contractors break away concrete to insert a pump in the basement of Arkansas Hall, which required attention after three feet of water flooded the basement, shutting down the elevator and causing damage. The flood was from the 130 inches of rain Arkadelphia has received from January to October, more than the average 54 inches a year it normally receives. The job was completed last week by inserting a temporary water pump.
