Stupid Posts

Some were trying to tie the films in with the older films in the series, while others (including myself) were replying that the film was a reboot and that this is a new series of films with the same character. It went on for days and, quite frankly, reminded me why I hate posting on movie sites.
Usually I hate commenting on threads because the people that usually post leave negative, bitchy comments about the article the comments pertain to. The funny thing is that they have no idea what they are talking about and, like the article mentioned above, jump off into stupid comments that don't even relate to the
original article.
Another thing that I hate is when a movie is about to come out and an article is posted. The people who post their replies can't be elated enough about the upcoming film. It doesn't matter what the film is, either.
Whether it's the new "Transformers"
film or a foreign film that they have never heard of, they shout about how they can't wait to see this new celluloid masterpiece.
However, as time goes on, these same people begin to rally against the film and bash the hell out of it.
Now, I want to be clear on this. It's not just new people expressing
their own opinion; it's the exact same people who were happy two weeks ago when the project was announced.
This leads me to my next problem with these pretentious yet completely ignorant people.
They make comments as if they've already seen the film and, therefore, judge the film before ever actually seeing it. When they see the trailer for the remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street," they immediately
say they hate the film because
Jackie Earle Haley's voice for Freddy doesn't sound good or one scene looked too dark.
Yeah, and I hated how the batmobile
looked for "Batman Begins." But you know what? I went and saw the film. Not only was the movie a fun ride, but I ended up loving the new batmobile once I saw it in action
jumping from rooftop to rooftop
and speeding down the streets of Gotham.
Due to these morons, no one who has any sense of what is really
going on in the film world can log on and leave their post. This is because they're too concerned that these jackasses will get on and question their silly little logic and facts.
Therefore, thanks to the recent argument I participated in concerning
"Casino Royale," I am reinstating
my "not replying to stupid people" rule. I am ignoring them altogether because, in the end, I can't cure blind ignorance and it's really the only thing any sane person
can do.
